Walking is not enough exercise for seniors

Walking is an excellent form of exercise, but older adults should not rely on it alone to prevent injury. According to the British Journal of Sports Medicine, adults 75 years and older need to do more than walk to maintain overall strength and balance. There are five exercises older adults can do – in addition to walking – that require no equipment and take less than 15 minutes.
